Rabbit vs dust

So this mornin', 'bout half a dozen kaninchen skittered out from under my bed followed by a giant dust monster.

There's prolly tons of dust pourin' outta my room right now. I couldn't quite shove the dust monster back under the bed. Figures, yeah?

Also. Dear Sphere,
Stop it with those annoyin' balls already, 'kay?
No love

All that dust....

It was a big dust monster.....

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Sorry. I'll find a way to clean it up, 'kay?

The kaninchen aren't far. At the edges of the bridges along the side, in small little caves and burrows.

At least the dust was useful for something.

You have to go down a little to get to them.

Hm. Might be harder to get to 'em.

Yes, quite hard with the way it slopes inward. One false move or angle, or a pick loose of gravel...

I suppose I could lower you down if we find any rope, or something sturdy, or you could lower me down. I'm less likely to die if I fall to the next floor.

Prolly better to lure 'em out.

I'm quite free tonight if you are able. Paper carrots or the real thing, I can obtain.

Absolutely! Count me in

What is a kaninchen? And that sounds like a more inconvenient creature than most have.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Kaninchen are these li'l rabbits I created with a magic pen some time ago. Some of 'em are still around.
spandexisyouth: (Suaveeeeee)

[personal profile] spandexisyouth 2010-09-20 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I would enjoy seeing one! That sounds very different!

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Haven't been able to catch one, but when I do, I'll show it to ya.

Splendid! Thank you!

[identity profile] handy-psychic.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Need any help cleaning up? I could probably find a vacuum for you...

[identity profile] handy-psychic.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! A vacuum's a machine that sucks up dust from the floor and holds it in a bag that you can just dump into the garbage later.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Modern technology", yeah?

[identity profile] handy-psychic.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yup! I'll borrow one from Housekeeping and bring it over.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'd like to see how this vacuum thing works, yeah ♥

[Creeper just watching. He's curious too]

th-the walking wikipedia wants to help

[identity profile] moe-rapier.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Major technological advancements are always made to maintain a clean and happy home with less effort than scrubbing the floor down on your hands and knees. If Bridge's demonstration doesn't suffice, I have a few things at home I'd be happy to show you in action.

Here, I'll turn them off now so I have something to work with later. Arthur certainly does a good job of giving me things to clean up. [Pentaps here, then an unheard sigh.]

the bookman wants to pick the walking wikipedia's brain XD

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Technology sure does make things easier, yeah. It's a wonder how people haven't become lazy, yanno?

What else is there? Some mechanical mop?

Did Arthur end up with a dust monster too?

[identity profile] moe-rapier.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It can definitely lead to some laziness, yes, but convenience always leads to a little slacking off.

There exists a machine like a vacuum that you can push over smooth, hard floors to scrub and wash. There is also a device that allows you to wash carpet. Lastly, there was a breakthrough, compact robot that can vacuum and mop unsupervised. I actually have one of those in my closet; they call them 'Roombas'.

Arthur himself can be a dust monster. I'm always finding wrappers and plates of half-eaten food sitting around somewhere. Even with all of these handy devices, I'm still doing daily chores.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
No way. This modern stuff is amazin' yeah. None of it sounds familiar. Is this Roomba thing intelligent? Do ya need to feed it?

Wow, sounds like a disaster.

[identity profile] moe-rapier.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, no. I tried accessing it to see if it perceived, but it doesn't. It follows orders and cleans the floors, a very basic computer program. I don't need to feed it, but there is a little station where I plug it in to charge the batteries.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds fascinatin'. I'd like to see one of these Roomba things in action. Or at least a book on it

[identity profile] moe-rapier.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I can lend you the instruction manual that came with the box, if you'd like.

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That'd be great! Thanks ♥

Totally off-topic, whoo!

[identity profile] paintitgray.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Bookman?

/o/

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's my real name. Rabbit's the name I chose for myself.

[identity profile] paintitgray.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
I thought that was your handwriting.

Would it be better if I called you Bookman from now on?

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Whichever ya wanna call me. I'm not really picky. A name's a name.

[identity profile] paintitgray.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Names are important.

[She's not sure where that came from or why she wrote it so hastily or insistently, but...it rings true, so she leaves it.]

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I answer to both, but most people call me Rabbit, yeah.

[identity profile] paintitgray.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
All right, but what do you like better? If it's your true name...

[identity profile] redhead-rabbit.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Rabbit feels more like a name than Bookman, so let's go with that one, yeah?

[identity profile] paintitgray.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
All right.

/threadjacks. Gently.

[identity profile] inthecenterfold.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I still call him Rabbit just cuz. Plus there's Book - easier to keep track of.
