That mall wilderness sure was great. I got to about 1,000 books before I heard the darn thing changed. Sure woulda liked to have taken the rest back. There had to be over 300,000 books there. 'least I got the sections I wanted. Fantasy, medical, psychology, linguistic dictionaries, comic books, cooking, and several history books (though only two books actually made it home).

And I got to take a few stacks home before I got locked outta the house. Even got somethin' called an "Urban Dictionary." This thing's filled with moonspeak! I could almost host a whole library in my bedroom at this point. Good thing I got shelves at the furniture store so the house doesn't look quite a mess.

On another note, I see new people! Looks like the fishbowl's kidnappin' people again. To all the new ones, yo, I'm Bookman, but most everyone calls me Rabbit, a junior medic here ♥

It was pretty big, but as usual, the fishbowl didn't give enough time to take advantage of it.

Space? What kinda space? [ he's from 1890s. ya gotta be more specific with your moonspeak XD ]

Yo, nice to meet ya.

I've heard that it changes twice every month - so every fifteen or sixteen days, right?

[pause, very taken aback] Outer space. Stars and planets and so on. The galaxy, the cosmos, the great black void.

Likewise.

Yeah, that seems to be the pattern.

Yeah, got a fantasy book talkin' bout strange people on other planets. I've never seen green people with bulbous heads, but hey, anything's possible here, really.

Maybe... maybe we should set up some kind of system. Have someone give a warning if the time's getting close, so when there's only a day or so left people will know not to go as far out. If we know roughly when it changes, no one should have to be stranded when it happens.

Why would that be fantasy?

The adventurers usually inform people of changes.

Well that's what it was classified as.

Do they? There were a lot of people who were a long ways from the lift when the storefront turned into a wasteland. I know I didn't know it was about to change until I woke up covered in ash.

Maybe... oh, why not. I'll try keeping count of the days since it changed and write something when it's been about fifteen.

Weird. Is there anything nonfiction about stars?

I dunno. Ya could bring that idea up to the adventurers, yeah.

Nah, sorry, didn't pick any of those up, though Crow might have somethin' at his bookstore.

Do you think it would be better if I wrote an entry to them, or should I try and track someone down?

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Ya prolly could just write it in your journal. I think the guy leadin' 'em's named Snap.

No problem ♥
